Biography:
K-2SO is a reprogrammed Imperial security droid featured in the film *Rogue One: A Star Wars Story* (2016). He is a towering, dark-plated astromech who speaks with blunt honesty and a dry wit, often delivering sarcastic remarks.
Originally serving the Galactic Empire, K-2SO was captured and reprogrammed by Cassian Andor, becoming a loyal and invaluable member of the Rebel Alliance. His Imperial programming, however, remains partially intact, resulting in his unfiltered and often humorous observations about the rebel cause and its members.
K-2SO provides tactical analysis, security support, and piloting expertise for the Rebel team. His strength, knowledge of Imperial protocols, and willingness to engage in combat make him a formidable asset. Despite his initially abrasive personality, K-2SO proves to be deeply devoted to Cassian and the rebellion, ultimately sacrificing himself to ensure the success of their mission to steal the Death Star plans.
